This village 3 km north of Agia Napa is popular with tourists keen to take a look into Northern Cyprus. During the Turkish invasion of 1974, troops halted just below this raised village, which position gives it its unparelleled vantage point. There are at least two viewing platforms and videos and posters in these areas remind visitors of the events that happened that day. One of these platforms is called Annita’s and gives a top floor viewpoint.
