This imposing fort stands at the water’s edge, separating the promenade and the old Turkish Quarter. Originally a Lusignanera castle, the present structure was remodelled by the Ottomans from around 1605. Offering lovely views of the coastal part of Larnaka, the castle itself is fairly bare, but the upper floor contains a small Medieval Museum with various displays. The open area inside the fort is sometimes used for concerts.
